This book was published in 2007  with a second edition in 2009 and is a unique combination - a former alcoholic and criminal, a retired Senior Legal Adviser to a Magistrates' Court and Almighty God. The two Johns have known each other for over thirty years, having met in court on numerous occasions. Once upon a time they were 'enemies' in the sense that one administered the law and the other fell foul of it, and, when their paths crossed, usually got punished. They are now great friends as a result of a life changing experience. They led completely different lives, one a Christian from his youth and a Court Official, the other, an alcoholic spending a large proportion of his time in prison or hospital, but at one point their paths converged and the One who changed both their lives made all the difference.

The book is commended by Dr John Blanchard; Dr Sam Gordon; Canon Noel Proctor; Dr Bob Stewart; Pastor Ray Tate and published by Ambassador Productions Ltd, Belfast.

We believe that this book is very timely and we have written it out of a love for people. One of us has 'been there, done that, got the T-shirt', the other has seen what alcohol does to those in its grip.

John Cartledge spent many years trying to rid himself of his addiction to alcohol. His life was in ruins until he was brought face to face with the reality from God's Word, the Bible, that alcoholism was not an illness, but sin. Upon his confession of sin, repentance and faith in Jesus Christ he was cleansed, forgiven and set free.

We are seeking to follow the words of Jesus - Matthew 25v36,40 ".... I was in prison and you came to me; when?  ....The King will answer ....assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did to one of the least of my brethren, you did it to Me."

Not only have we had the privilege of donating books, we have also, on invitation, visited prisons throughout the UK to speak with the prisoners to tell them of the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.

The book should shortly be available as a PDF file.

John Cartledge was interviewed by Revelation TV on 16th June 2011 and the programme was showed under Testimony Time.

Please do not hesitate to contact either of us if we can be of assistance.

           Reaching Prisoners for Christ.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

A warm welcome to our website.

It was our desire to make this book available free of charge to Chaplains and other workers to distribute to anyone, prisoners, addicts etc. Our diverse experiences have led us in our desire to help others who are in bondage to similar and other addictions. We have now completed this ministry and we sincerely want to thank everyone who sponsored the donating of books. Without you we couldn't have done it. Most of all we must thank Almighty God for the inspiration and blessing in it all.

We have now moved on - John Cartledge is concentrating his ministry now on Malak Christian Books in Ghana and is also available to speak at churches and other organisations.

John Hayes is now an associate in the NORTH  with Christian Prison Resources, taking Bible Studies in prisons (started at HMP Preston in January 2011). He is also available to speak about the work of CPR at churches etc., and will consider visits to other prisons.
